Biden Compares Trump to Nazi Germany

President Joe Biden compared former President Donald Trump to Nazi Germany in a speech Friday.

Biden's dark rhetoric has further escalated in recent days after establishment media outlets questioned whether he would focus more on bashing his political opponents in 2024.

Speaking at Valley Forge to commemorate the Jan. 6 protests, Biden characterized President Trump as one of the worst administrations in history.

“He said, repeating the exact same words used in Nazi Germany. [Trump] Proudly posting on social media the words “revenge,” “power,” and “dictatorship” that best describe the 2024 election campaign.

Biden cited a “word cloud” created by the Daily Mail and reposted by Trump to describe terms that respondents associated with Trump.

“There is no confusion about who Mr. Trump is and what he is trying to do,” he added.

Biden also said “democracy is on the ballot” after Democrats tried to remove Trump from the ballots in several states.

“My fellow Americans, as we begin this election year, let us be clear: Democracy is on the ballot,” Biden said at Valley Forge. “Your freedom depends on your vote.”

Several states faced legal action to keep Trump from voting and prevent voters from deciding the election.

  • Oregon (case pending)
  • Michigan and Minnesota (Trump remained on the ballot)
  • Colorado (judgment deferred)
  • Maine (ongoing)

After the speech, First Lady Jill Biden (ed. Ph.D.) hugged Biden behind the microphone. Biden turned around and said, “I understand power,” she said with a laugh.
