“When a Man Loves a Woman” singer Michael Bolton revealed to fans Friday that he has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.
“Just before the holidays, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor that required immediate surgery,” the 70-year-old wrote on his Facebook page. “Thanks to my amazing medical team, the surgery was a success.”
Bolton said he was collaborating again at home and needed to take a “temporary break from touring.”
“Disappointing fans and having shows postponed is always the hardest thing for me, but I have no doubt that I will be working hard to accelerate my recovery and get back to performing soon.” he wrote. “I am so grateful for all the love and support you have generously shown me over the years. Please know that I will keep your positive messages in my heart. We will provide you with further updates as soon as possible.”
