Jason Day is no longer with Nike, leaving much to be desired from his new look on the course.
Day joins the team at luxury golf brand Malbon Golf, which has named Day its first PGA Tour Ambassador. He said he doesn't want to be like other players on tour. Well, I guess mission accomplished.
Thursday's attack wasn't that bad. It fit him better than the costume in the announcement video. Not many trolls came out on the first day, but he I brought out my pants on friday.
Day enjoys sponsoring new clothing, posting after each round of play.
However, the feelings of the fans are clearly different from his. The day will be the talk of the town on social media, with jokes about pants that are sure to make everyone laugh.
Days pants make you look like you've woken up in the 90s. Many compared him to his MC Hammer and his parachute pants.
What am I seeing? Did Jason Day steal his 1999 US Ryder Cup gear?

Friday's troll work was plentiful and hilarious.
The problem is not so much the style, but how it looks big. If the pants fit better, more people might like them. It's not tacky clothes. Some people are used to what most golfers wear. If the players are different, they don't know what to do with it.
Modifying the fit could encourage more people to buy Malbon Golf apparel. When buying something great, fit is just as important as pattern, color choice, and style. A lot of their options are cool, and the hope is that Day is someone who can literally grow the brand.
