Report Says Golden Globes Organizers Are Praying Celebrities Won’t Get Political

Organizers of the ratings-troubled Golden Globe Awards are praying that celebrities don't get political and start grandstanding during Sunday's live broadcast on CBS, according to a new report.

This year's ceremony took place during an election year, with former President Donald Trump leading incumbent Joe Biden in many polls. Additionally, the Israel-Hamas war has become a divisive issue among Hollywood stars.

Anonymous source: “Everyone hopes it doesn't get too political.'' Said Page 6.

Although the star will not be censored, another source told the magazine: “We all want the Globes to bring glamor and fun to the world and bring Hollywood back. It's so needed.”

Sunday's show will feature prominent candidates and hosts known as left-wing activists, including Robert De Niro, Mark Ruffalo, Don Cheadle, Julianne Moore, America Ferrera and climate change activists. Leonardo DiCaprio and others are scheduled to appear.

Last year's Golden Globe Awards was a ratings disaster.

The broadcast drew a measly 6.3 million viewers, the lowest number ever for the Globes.

Like other Hollywood awards shows, the Globes are battling declining viewership as tens of millions of Americans choose to avoid the ostentatious displays of Hollywood's left-wing self-worship. There is.

Past Globes have featured left-wing celebrities using the show to lecture Americans on social and political issues.

Meryl Streep once bashed Trump and Michelle Williams went on a pro-abortion rant.

Last year's host, Jerrod Carmichael, began the broadcast with a long, awkward monologue about diversity.

Comedian Jo Koy will host the show this year.
