Republican presidential candidate and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said he is considering ways to keep President Biden from voting because of the “8 million incursions” at the southern border, but he is considering ways to keep former President Trump from voting. I also believe that efforts to keep people out are wrong.
“I think the United States Supreme Court should take up this case,” DeSantis told reporters Friday after a campaign event in Iowa. “I think they need to rein this in, because I think when you look at it, it’s going to look too different.”
But in the meantime, DeSantis said he is considering whether he can block Florida from voting on policies that Biden claims have led to an “invasion” of migrants across the southern border into the United States.
“You can make a case. We're actually looking at this right now in Florida. Can you make a credible case that Biden is to blame for the invasion of 8 million people?” DeSantis said.

Mr. DeSantis has frequently cited the 8 million figure when referring to the number of immigrants who are said to have entered the country illegally under the Biden administration.

DeSantis said he disagrees with the legality of barring candidates from the primary ballot, but said it's important to fight by the same set of rules that Democrats use.

“If this happens to them… it's unbelievable to fight with one hand tied behind your back. No matter what rules apply to us, we're going to fight back and protect the other hand.” Yeah. said DeSantis.
“You know, we have a better path forward. We don't have to worry about those issues. And if I become president, we can tackle all the legal issues and all the weaponization. “So we can end this problem once and for all,” he added.
of United States Supreme Court It agreed to hear a lawsuit over whether Trump can be kept from the state's primary vote. A Colorado high court has ruled in favor of a Republican effort to ban the former president from attending primary voting.

The Colorado Supreme Court has ruled that President Trump was an insurrectionist for his role in the riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. The Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution, adopted in 1868 after the Civil War, prohibits people who “participated in the rebellion” from holding public office.
Other states have also moved or are considering moves to block Trump from voting. Maine's Secretary of State has ruled that Trump is ineligible to appear on the primary ballot, and the Illinois State Board of Elections (SBE) will hold a vote this month to decide whether to remove the former president's name.
