Michigan woman ‘mindblown’ after over $900K lotto win

A 39-year-old woman from Macomb County, Michigan won nearly $1 million after thinking her lottery app was broken.

The woman, who did not wish to be identified, won $925,434 on a Super Lucky 7 Fast Cash ticket, according to a Jan. 5 press release from the Michigan Lottery.

She bought the ticket on Nov. 16 at a liquor store in Romeo, Michigan, about 40 miles north of Detroit.

The lottery winner said that every few weeks, she and her husband would “go to the store and buy a bunch of lottery tickets, then come home and tear them up.”

She added, “While we were at the store, we spotted the Fast Cash jackpot approaching $1 million, so we purchased a few Fast Cash tickets.”

When the lottery winner arrived at her home, she looked at her lottery ticket and thought it “didn't win,” she said.

“But I scanned it with the Michigan Lottery app just to be sure,” she said.

In the end, it was a good decision.

The app told her she had won $925,434.

“I thought there might be something wrong with the scanner,” she said. “I was shocked when I looked at my ticket again and realized I had actually won!”

According to the Michigan Lottery, the woman has claimed her winnings and now plans to pay off her car and put the rest toward her retirement.

“Fast Cash Games are a series of instant win games that you print from terminals at Lottery retailers. Fast Cash tickets range in price from $2 per play up to $20 per play,” the Michigan Lottery said. Masu.

The game “offers a progressive jackpot,” and “every Fast Cash ticket gives players a chance to win all or part of a progressive jackpot.”

It has been reset because the jackpot has been won.

Proceeds from the Michigan Lottery will be used to support the state's schools, according to the lottery's website.

“Since its founding in 1972, the Michigan Lottery has donated all of the agency's profits to the Michigan School Aid Fund,” the site says.
