The Houston Texans are in the playoffs. The Indianapolis Colts season is over.
Houston made the playoffs in CJ Stroud's rookie season and DeMeco Ryans' first year as head coach, defeating Indy 23-19 on the road.

Indy made a field goal just before halftime to make it 14-6, and Jonathan Taylor scored a 49-yard rushing touchdown on the first drive of the second half. Down two points, the Colts looked to tie the game and scored on a pass to Moe Arie Cox.
The Colts were forced to punt again, but Matt Gay's 57-yard field goal missed the uprights. Houston responded late in the third quarter with a 51-yard run by Kaimi Fairbairn to give the Texans a 17-14 lead.
Gay made a field goal early in the fourth quarter to tie the score, but the Texans responded by moving down the field and Devin Singletary scored from 3 yards out with 6:20 left, but Fairbairn added the score. As a result, Houston won 23-17.
But thankfully, thanks to them, the crisis was averted.

Collins picked a good time for the best game of his career. He tied a career high with nine catches (marked last month) and gained 195 yards (compared to 191 yards in the same December game).
It's Houston's first playoff berth since 2019 after a 10-7 season. If the Jacksonville Jaguars lose on Sunday, Houston will qualify for the AFC South. The Colts finished the season with a 9-8 record, but have a bright future ahead with Anthony Richardson returning as center.
