Tearful Jonathan Majors Says ‘It’s Been Hard’ Since Assault Conviction, End of Marvel Work

Actor Jonathan Majors, starring Creed III and Antman: Quantumaniahas spoken publicly for the first time since being found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, revealing in an interview his anguish in the aftermath of the high-profile trial.

The 34-year-old actor wiped away tears as he talked about the trial that destroyed his career during an exchange with anchor Lindsey Davis on ABC's “Good Morning America,” scheduled to air Monday.

As Breitbart News reported, Majors was found guilty last month in New York of assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabari, 30.

Following the guilty verdict, Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Co. immediately dropped him, and another highly anticipated film is currently in limbo.

He was also acquitted of two misdemeanor counts of third-degree assault with intent to injure and aggravated second-degree harassment.

In the interview, he mentions how difficult life has been since going to court, using only a short clip released as a teaser.

“Why did you choose to talk now?” Davis asks the disgraced rising star in the video. “Do you think you'll be able to work in Hollywood again?”

As Breitbart News reported, “A jury of three men and three women convicted the up-and-coming Hollywood star after a two-week trial in state court in Manhattan.”

“Prosecutors allege Jonathan Majors assaulted Grace Jabari in a car in New York in March, breaking her finger and leaving her arm and ear swollen. The actor was charged with two counts of assault. “He faces charges including a criminal offense and two counts of harassment, both misdemeanors.”

“The actor maintained his innocence throughout the ordeal and even accused Jabari of assaulting him,” it added.
