The next postseason chapter of Matthew Stafford's career begins where it all began.
To commemorate the end of the regular season on Sunday, his wife, Kelly Stafford, tipped his hat to the Rams quarterback, who will face his former Lions team in an NFC Wild Card matchup on Sunday.
“Another great season old man. 15 years and never looked so good,” Kelly gushed about Stafford, 35, on Instagram.
“It's time to go back to where it all started for the postseason.”
Stafford, who has four daughters with his wife of eight years, Kelly, spent the first 12 seasons of his career in Detroit after being selected No. 1 overall by the Lions in the 2009 NFL Draft.
He was traded to the Rams in a blockbuster move in January 2021, with Jared Goff, the team's quarterback at the time, going to the Lions.
The Rams found immediate success after the trade, strengthening their roster with Von Miller and Odell Beckham Jr. in preparation for a Super Bowl championship in February 2022.
The Rams fell a year later, finishing the season with a 5-12 record, but clinched a playoff berth this season after the Seahawks lost to the Steelers in late December.
The Rams defeated the 49ers 21-20 on Sunday, ending the regular season with a 10-7 record.
As for the Lions, after a brutal 3-10-1 season in 2021, Goff and company continued to improve, finishing 2022 with a 9-8 record.
Detroit won the Lions' first NFC North title in 30 years in late December.
Goff, also a former No. 1 overall pick, had 4,575 passing yards, 30 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 17 games this year as the Lions finished 12-5.
The Rams and Lions will kickoff Sunday at 8 p.m. ET at Ford Field.
