Jeff Landry Sworn In As Louisiana’s 57th Governor

Jeff Landry officially sworn in as Louisiana's 57th Representativeth Governor.

Landry (R-Louisiana) took the oath of office at Sunday's inauguration ceremony.

The ceremony was originally scheduled for Monday. However, it was postponed due to weather.

Landry becomes the first Republican to be elected governor of Louisiana in eight years, ushering in a new era of conservative leadership.

“God has shined a light on our government,” Landry said. “Tomorrow, he promises, blessings will descend upon the entire state.”

Landry called for unity and promised to fight crime. He also promised the nation that he would make life better for all Louisiana residents.

He is scheduled to officially begin his duties on Monday.
