‘God Made Trump’ Ad Ignites Controversy

A new video declaring “God created Trump” went viral online, sparking a backlash from commentators across the Christian and conservative spectrum over the weekend. The video's messianic message — which claims Trump will “never leave or forsake” America — is blasphemous.

Trump shared the 150-second video on his Truth Social account, and other Trump supporters quickly shared it without comment. Paula White-Cain and a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. marjorie taylor green.

The video reflects the “God Made Farmers” monologue by the late radio personality Paul Harvey, and uses AI technology to copy his voice. (Harvey died in 2009.) This work boasts millions of views on various social and his media channels.

God said we need people who are willing to get up before dawn. Fix this country. Let's work all day. Marxist Fight. Eat dinner. Then go to the Oval Office and stay until after midnight for a meeting of heads of state. So God made Trump.”

A short time later, the video says, “God said, I need someone who is strong and courageous and who will not be afraid or scared when the wolves attack, someone who will take care of the flock. ” The shepherd of humanity who will never leave or abandon humanity. ”

The phrase “never leave me nor forsake me” is a reference to the words of God: Deuteronomy 31:6: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or be afraid because of them. The Lord your God goes with you. He will never leave you or forsake you.” ” It is quoted elsewhere in the Bible.

For a while, “God Made Trump” was trending on X (formerly Twitter). This video attracted a lot of criticism.

“The first part of this ad didn't seem like a big deal. The excerpt from Paul Harvey's classic 'God Made the Farmer' is fine. But the middle part is “the shepherd of mankind who will never leave or forsake.” It is blasphemy and idolatry,” Daily Wire reporter Megan Basham wrote.

Denny Burke, a professor of biblical studies at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, posted the video to X and criticized it, quoting the Bible.

“'You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain; for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who takes his name in vain.' — Exodus 20:7. “And since God himself gives life and breath and everything to all mankind, he is not served by human hands, as if he were in need of anything.” — Acts 17:25” Burke I have written.

Blogger and pro-life advocate Samuel Say also criticized it.

“There are two Republican presidential candidates who would be better choices than Donald Trump. But for some Christians, voting for Trump is not inherently a sin. But while defending this blasphemous ad, It is absolutely sinful to vote for him,” Say wrote.

Some people defended the video.

“I can't believe that after everything Trump has done for America and Christianity, so many people are so quick to throw him under the bus. He's not perfect, but he has a job to do. is perfect,” one person wrote.

Below is the complete script of the video.

“And on June 14, 1946, God looked down on the paradise he had planned and said, I need a steward. So God gave us playing cards. Fix this country. Let's work all day. Fight the Marxists. Eat dinner. Then go to the Oval Office for a meeting of heads of state. He stayed there until after midnight. That's why God created playing cards.

“We need someone skilled enough to fight the Deep State, yet kind enough to give birth to our own grandchildren. We need someone to ruffle feathers. Let’s tame the troublesome World Economic Forum.” Go home hungry. You'll have to wait until the First Lady finishes lunch with her friends. Then tell the ladies to come back soon. I mean it. So God Gave us Trump.

“We need someone who can shape an ax and wield a sword. Someone who has the courage to set foot in North Korea. Who can make money from liquefied sand tar? Who can tell the difference between tariffs and inflation? Do you understand? He is scheduled to finish his 40-hour work week by noon on Tuesday, but then he will put in another 72 hours of work. So God created Trump.

“God had to provide someone willing to enter the viper's den. Their tongues are sharp as serpents, so they denounce fake news. The viper's venom is in their lips. Still, don't do it. That's why God created Trump.

“God said, I need someone who is strong and courageous and who will not be afraid or cower if the wolves attack, someone who will take care of his flock. A shepherd who will never leave humanity and never abandon it. I need the hardest working people who have walked that path, who are strong in their faith, who know their faith in God and country. People who are willing to dig up and bring back manufacturing and American jobs. Till the land. We Let's protect America's borders. Build our military. Fight the system all day long and attend church on Sunday to finish a hard week's work. And when your oldest son turns around and says, “Dad, America… Let's make it great again.” Father, let's once again build a country that is the envy of the world. That's why God created Trump. ”
