A Philadelphia mother has been charged in the death of her 4-year-old child, but his body has never been found, authorities said.
The Philadelphia Police Department's Special Victims Unit began investigating the missing child on Dec. 30, even though the mother had not filed a report, the Philadelphia Police Department told Fox News Digital. .
Dominic Bailey, 28, allegedly told his family that his child had been hit and killed by a car. Investigators reportedly found no evidence to support this claim.

“However, the location of the child's body remains unidentified,” a police statement said.
Bailey was questioned on Thursday, and investigators searched his home the next day. The man was also questioned, the report said.
Ms Bailey is said to have detailed her role in the unnamed child's death. She is charged with murder, endangering the welfare of a child, abuse of a corpse and other related charges.

Another suspect, Kevin Spencer, 30, was also arrested and charged with conspiracy, murder, abuse of a corpse and other charges related to the child's death.
Authorities have not disclosed the nature of Spencer and Bailey's relationship.
