The campaign of House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R.N.Y.) announced it raised a record $5.2 million in fourth-quarter fundraising.
“President Elise Stefanik said Team Elise raised more than $5.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2024, with an average donation of $25 and over 35,000 first-time donors, breaking previous fundraising records. , announced that it also broke the conference chair record previously set by President Stefanik,” reads a statement obtained by The Hill.
However, Stefanik did not rule out becoming former President Trump's 2024 running mate in an interview on NBC News' “Meet the Press.”
“Well, of course I would be honored to serve in any capacity in the Trump administration. I'm proud to be the first member of Congress to support his reelection. I'm a strong supporter of President Trump. , and he will win this November,” Stefanik told NBC News' Kristen Welker.
Stefanik also would not say whether he had spoken to Stefanik himself about the former president's choice as his running mate.
“I won't go into the content of my conversations with President Trump. I speak to him frequently. We've been focused on winning,” Stefanik said. “As Chairman of the House Republican Conference and as the representative of New York's 21st Congressional District, I have a lot of work to do.”
“We need to make sure that President Trump is in the strongest position to win the general election. That's what I've been focused on and will continue to be focused on,” she added.
