He then paid an additional $336,741 to purchase the property, which he shares ownership with his son, Larry Bampton.

In August of that year, he donated $200,032 to his daughter, Suzanne Elaine Voulides.

The transaction became a point of contention as Mr Bampton sought to keep the cash, alleging undue influence or unconscionable conduct from Mrs Voorides.

According to court documents, Bampton claimed he had an argument with his daughter in early August 2018 and felt “overwhelmed” with no choice but to pay.

Mrs. Vrides, on the other hand, claimed that her father voluntarily gave her $200,032.

In her comprehensive 39-page judgment, Judge Suzanne Sheridan pointed to the extensive evidence presented by both parties.

Importantly, court documents revealed that Mr Bampton had not been diagnosed with dementia at the time of the hearing.

Despite Mr Bampton's pleas, Mr Justice Sheridan dismissed the claim and threatened to make an order for costs unless the parties agreed.

“Although Mr Bampton was elderly and had medical conditions, the medical evidence was to the effect that he was fully capable, understanding and able to manage his financial affairs.” she stated.

“I cannot accept that Mrs. Vrides has dishonestly taken advantage of Mr. Bampton.

“I am prepared to accept that the gift was fair, just and reasonable in the circumstances.”

Ms Vorides said her family was devastated by the controversy.

“At the end of the day, frankly, I'm done destroying people's lives. Everything is terrible,” she said. home delivery.
