First lady Jill Biden said Thursday on MSNBC's “Morning Joe” that what Republicans are doing to her son Hunter Biden is “cruel.”
Co-host Mika Brzezinski said, “I personally take the onslaught of accusations against my husband and family, especially those who disrespect Hunter, who is the focus of House Oversight Committee hearings, and his obsession with him.” How have you dealt with it?” he said.
Mr. Biden replied, “Yes.”
Brzezinski continued, “I showed a photo on the floor of the House of Representatives from a critical moment in my battle with addiction. This would destroy any family.
“I think what they're doing to Hunter is cruel. And I'm really proud of Hunter for rebuilding his life after his addiction,” Biden said. I love them, but it's hurting my grandchildren. And I'm very concerned that it's affecting their lives as well.”
“What do you think when you hear Trump Republicans calling them the Biden crime family?” Brzezinski said. “The Biden crime family sold America out, Marjorie Taylor Greene, he's a liar and mentally incompetent,” one lawmaker said. Let's not even talk about the meaning of “Let's Go Brandon'' or the U.S. senator who held up a placard that said it. ”
“What our opponents and extremists have turned this country into is something we would never have seen, say, 10 years ago,” Biden said.
