New details emerge after four teenage Vietnamese exchange students go missing in Australia

Four Vietnamese teenagers who were on an exchange program in South Australia have gone missing for a month.

Authorities are scrambling for information about the missing teens after 11th grader Sunny Nguyen, 17, last mysteriously disappeared.

Sunny, who is said to be “shy” and doesn't speak English well, went missing after having dinner with her host family on Monday night.

Her host mother, Mae Zervers, noticed her missing around 11 p.m.

Sunny left with a backpack containing her laptop, important identification documents, and clothes.

Her cell phone was turned off and her social media accounts were also deleted.

Authorities are investigating the disappearances with the possibility that some of the missing youths may have traveled interstate.
