Miss Colorado beauty pageant winner Madison Marsh spoke on FNC's “Fox & Friends Weekend” Saturday morning about being the first active-duty U.S. Air Force fighter pilot to compete for the Miss America crown.

Marsh, a recent graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, told co-hosts that the U.S. military is “very supportive” of her ambitions to compete for and win major beauty pageant titles.

The contest has been running since January 6th in Orlando, Florida, and ends this Sunday.

The 2023 Miss Colorado winner told the host that she is currently a pilot and just graduated from the Air Force Academy, and everyone is very, very excited to have me here. he said.

The show's co-host Pete Hegseth read Marsh's resume on air, highlighting some of the young woman's long list of accomplishments.

“In addition to all this,” he said, “you are a National Truman Scholar, a two-time National Astronaut Scholar, an eight-time Air Force Dean's List selection, a three-time Metropolitan Police Chief's List selection, and a National Rose Finalist. candidate. He is a certified private pilot, holds a black belt in Taekwondo, and is a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School.”

Co-host Will Kane also asked, “So how does the first date go?” He joked that her extensive accomplishments could be “intimidating” to her future suitors.

He then asked her what talent she would show in the Miss America pageant. Ms. Marsh responded that she was going to give a “monologue” about “her first solo flight at the age of 16.”

Marsh replied: “For me, serving – being a woman in the military – is all you can do. And for me, it means being able to do both. It means representing my mother, who lived through her life. Even if she wasn't alive, I can still live. ”

She talked about how she finds meaning in “being a military leader,” “being a leader in the glamorous arena,” and “shattering stereotypes about young women around the world.”

“I really think as women, you have to define it for yourself,” she added.
