Second-most venomous snake found in toddler’s drawer

An Australian snake hunter has discovered the world's second most venomous snake in a toddler's underwear drawer.

mark perryThe Melbourne-based company was asked to remove a five-foot-long eastern brown snake from a three-year-old child's bedroom.

“A mother went shopping for clothes for her son and instead found a large brown snake, 5 feet long,” Perry said. I wrote about the ordeal on Facebook..

“We realized what had happened. She had brought in the folded laundry yesterday and when she was taking out the clothes, [the] clothesline, [the] A brown snake crawled into it. ”

Some people on Facebook asked how the reptile was able to go unnoticed.

“How can you put a folded piece of clothing with a 5-foot snake in it in a drawer without realizing it? I mean, a 5-foot brown has some weight, right?” Linda Swanwick in the comments section of the post.

Perry responded that the creature is actually so light that people tend not to notice it.

“I weigh very little and it's serious. This can happen to anyone,” he explained.

“I've seen people carrying around brown snakes in their handbags and shopping bags. One day this may happen to you.”

According to Australian Geographic magazine, the eastern brown snake is “known for being fast-moving, aggressive and bad-tempered” and is found in eastern and central Australia and southern New Guinea. It can reach up to 7 feet in length.
