Hunter Hearings Might Teach People ‘How We Ought to Conduct Ourselves’ when Faced with Challenges

On Saturday's broadcast of MSNBC's “The Weekend,” Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.), co-chair of the Biden 2024 campaign, said that perhaps as a result of the Hunter Biden hearings, “my We will all learn a little more about how to behave.” When faced with such challenges, we look at ourselves. That's what being a public servant is all about, that's what being president of the United States is all about, showing the country how we should act and react in a timely manner.[s] of crisis. ”

Clyburn said, “President Biden is not just a president, he's a father. Dr. Jill has made it clear that she is very concerned about how they are treating her son. It's an issue that should be paid attention to, because if you're a party to family values, you should value family. They don't value family. They have to stop this stupidity. We have two committees that are going to do their work, but this great work is going on behind closed doors, and it's going to take a long time for you to come out and do your part for the American people. Allow opinions to be interpreted. Why not hold a public hearing? [the] Open? Let's look at the general public. Perhaps we will all learn a little more about how to act when faced with this kind of challenge. That's what being a public servant is all about, that's what being president of the United States is all about, showing the country how we should act and react in a timely manner.[s] of crisis. And nothing is more personal than a family crisis like the one we experienced with our son's addiction and how he worked to overcome it. We shouldn't pile on more than this. Or if he broke the law, we have a process for that. We shouldn't openly invade people's private lives and show them pictures of vulnerable people. That is no way to lead in this United States of America. I am extremely disappointed that the leadership of the committee allowed this to happen. ”
