The Miami Dolphins suffered a blowout loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday night, but Tua Tagovailoa's performance was not enough to break their playoff drought, which has continued since 2000.

The San Francisco 49ers player thinks it's because he's too soft.

Niners depth wide receiver Willie Snead IV commented on Tagovailoa's play via social media while watching the team's 26-7 win over the Dolphins.

“Dolphins will be better if Tua stops being soft AF,” Snead posted to X, followed by a “100” emoji.

Weather certainly played a role in this game, as the Dolphins entered the game at -4 degrees Fahrenheit, the fourth coldest game in NFL history. Still, Miami had the best offense all season.

Despite the frigid temperatures, Dolphins fans were certainly hopeful that head coach Mike McDaniel could plan some things to counter that and score points.

From Outkick: The five-year Dolphins rebuild that was supposed to bring a championship didn't result in a playoff win.

While former Chief Tyreek Hill had a 53-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter, Tagovailoa struggled to connect with his receivers the rest of the game. Hill's ball was extremely underthrown as the star receiver got back on the ball and made some magic by making several Chiefs miss and getting the Dolphins on the board.

However, Tagovailoa finished 20-of-39 for 199 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The ball to Jaylen Waddle was so high that you would have thought he should have hit it.

Tua Tagovailoa's Throw

Credit should go to Chiefs defense and defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, who drew some perfect blitzes and coverages to confuse Tagovailoa throughout the game. But at the end of the day, Dolphins fans don't care about that.

They want their quarterback to perform, especially in a playoff situation.

Another year has passed in which a talented and powerful Dolphins team failed to make the playoffs. Granted, the team was without regular season starters Jaelan Phillips, Bradley Chubb, and Andrew Van Ginkel for this game, so there were a lot of injuries, especially on defense.

In the end, it doesn't matter. The Chiefs will get the job done and advance to the divisional round, while the Dolphins will regroup and hope to see a different result next year.
