Olivia Dunn is looking to make her senior season on the LSU gymnastics team her “best season.”
The 21-year-old athlete and social media sensation scored a 9.850 for her floor routine at the Sprouts Farmers Market University Quad Meet in Salt Lake City on Saturday, leading LSU to a 2nd place overall with a score of 197.150. It became the rank.
The Tigers, competing for the second time this year, lost to top-ranked Oklahoma State (197.900 points), but defeated 12th-place UCLA (197.100 points) and second-place Utah State (196.975 points).
“I’m proud that we fought back against two very strong teams and finished in second place.” said head coach Jay Clark..
“…Our team understands the expectations, so we have to be able to handle success the same way we handle adversity.”
Freshman Connor McClain had an impressive performance on Saturday, earning his first perfect score of 10.00 on the horizontal bars.
Dunn and his LSU teammates attended Saturday's game, coming off a season-opening victory over Ohio State.
With last week's win, Dunn earned a score of 9.875 in his season floor debut.
Dunn shared a photo from an LSU photo shoot in September, highlighting his senior season.

In an interview with Elle The New Jersey native, who boasts more than 12 million followers on social media, talked about capturing “every last memory” starting in August 2023.

Dunn and the Tigers will play Kentucky on Friday.
