Matthew Stafford targets Puka Nacua

Old friends turned rivals as quarterback Matthew Stafford returns to Detroit as a member of the Rams.

The 51.5 total is the largest of any Wild Card weekend matchup, so there should be plenty of scoring opportunities on “Sunday Night Football.”

Neither defense is very strong, with the Rams' defense ranking as the worst of the remaining teams according to Pro Football Focus.

But Detroit's secondary is also a big problem. The Lions' defense ranks fourth-worst among all teams in the NFL in coverage by PFF.

Expect plenty of points this weekend when Rams vs. Lions breaks down the best player props and picks on Sunday Night Football.

Rams vs. Lions player props and picks

David Montgomery Anytime Touchdown Scorer -110 | Scores of 2+ Touchdowns +600 (Caesars)

The Caesars have a good line in David Montgomery who is an all-time touchdown scorer, and all of these will be big hits to target tonight.

Montgomery ranks third among all running backs in the NFL in touchdowns, so he's clearly worth a bet at these odds.

The Lions, who love to run inside the 5-yard line, have two running backs worth betting on this weekend.

But don't forget about Montgomery in this weekend's long-term odds. Tight end Sam LaPorta is listed as questionable, but if he plays, he'll at least be held back.

Puka Nacua, Receiving Yards 76.5 Over -114 (FanDuel) | 125+ +500 (Bet 365)

This prediction is too low for Sunday's plus game. As mentioned earlier, the Lions have one of the worst coverage teams in the NFL.

Puka Nacua has cleared that number in four of the last six games, and he leaks way too much against his receivers.

Detroit allowed 3,081 yards to opposing receivers, third most in the NFL behind the Eagles and Commanders.

But over the past eight weeks, they've been the worst secondary in the NFL. They allowed the most yards to wide receivers at 1,650, nearly 200 more than the second-place Rams.

This is going to be a shootout and is definitely a spot to bet on this weekend.
