Sen. Joe Manchin (D-West Virginia) said on “Fox News Sunday” this week that he would never be a “spoiler” in the 2024 presidential election.
Manchin said, “Any third-party effort is going to be defined by Super Tuesday, for example. If there's any movement.”
Anchor Shannon Bream said, “There are people in your party who don't think this third-party candidacy is a good idea, and who have made it clear that if they join, it would be a blow to President Biden.'' Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi said, “I think no label is dangerous to our democracy.'' I say that without any hesitation. ” At what point do you decide that third-party candidacy is dangerous to our democracy?”
“Let me tell you, I've never been a spoiler, and I'm never going to be a spoiler of an election,” Manchin said.
He added: “So we just have to see where we are at that point.” Right now, both parties seem to be having a hard time with their candidates.”
Bream said:
Mr. Manchin said: A lot can change over the next two months. So let's wait and see. ”
