At approximately 4:30 p.m. Saturday, first responders received the first call of the fire and a five-alarm fire response was conducted.

On Saturday evening, Epping fire officials reported that several oil tankers were on fire and New Hampshire firefighters were working to extinguish a large blaze.

At Depot Road, firefighters extinguished a large fire that started in three tankers and a tractor-trailer.

The fire started at North Atlantic Services, a New Hampshire-based company that provides snow removal, fuel delivery and landscape services.

Exeter Fire Station released a statement on social media regarding the fire.

Exeter Fire Station said: “Firefighters responded with mutual aid to reports of multiple oil tankers on fire at 76 Depot Road, Epping.”

The fire department also shared videos and images showing smoke rising as crews worked to extinguish the fire.

Officials estimate that the truck leaked so much oil that 500 gallons of foam were needed to extinguish the fire.

Fire officials said work was underway to remove chemicals that may have leaked into the water.

“There are five vehicles involved in the fire,” Epping commission member Bob Jordan said. “We have a hazardous materials situation. We have a strike force coming in from the state right now. They're basically coming to force the spill out and make sure we contain the scene.”

By 7:30 p.m. Saturday, crews were able to bring the fire under control. No injuries were reported in the fire.

Officials also said there appears to be no suspicious reason for the fire at this time.
