NFL great Tony Dungy is tired of hearing about Taylor Swift attending NFL games and says the league's constant focus on pop stars is a distraction from the games. It is claimed that
talk to fox newsthe Pro Football Hall of Famer claimed that Swift isn't helping football, saying the “Taylor Swift effect” is taking the focus away from what's happening on the field.
“That's what's disillusioning people from the sport right now,” Dungey said. “There's a lot of outside stuff coming in. The entertainment value and all that stuff takes away from what's actually happening on the field.”

Dungey certainly has a point, at least when it comes to Travis Kelce's work on the field.
Whenever Kelce does something on the field, NFL cameras cut to his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, in the stands, asking for her reaction. Meanwhile, viewers at her home see constant shots of Swift and miss whatever is happening on the field.
Kelce said the constant attention to Swift's NFL appearances, even back in early October, is “too much.”
“I think it’s fun to be able to show who’s in the game,” Travis said. “I think it makes the atmosphere a little better and what you're seeing a little better,” Kelce said of the shots of fans in the stands during games.
“But at the same time, I think they're definitely going a little too far, especially in my situation.”

But that didn't stop the league from focusing its efforts on promoting Taylor Swift's sudden interest in the NFL since she and Kelsey became an item.
The league changed the top of all social media photos and profiles in October to feature the Swifts' game-day attendees. The photo was eventually deleted after backlash.
Dungey is an outspoken former NFL member and a particularly proud and open Christian. Last year, he participated in the 2023 March for Life.
He explained his pro-life position this way: Is it life? If you're just growing your organization, your “choices” make sense. If that's your life, choosing to end it is obviously not good. What does the Bible say? Psalm 139:16. ”
