Madison Marsh, an active duty officer in the U.S. Air Force, has been named Miss America 2024.

On Sunday, Marsh, 22, representing Colorado, won the prestigious contest.

“You can achieve anything. The sky is not the limit, the only thing stopping you is you,” Marsh said in a post-show interview, according to a video posted on Miss Universe's Instagram Story. . The U.S. Air Force congratulated Marsh on his accomplishments with a heartfelt message on X (formerly Twitter).

“Congratulations to our very own #Airman, aka Miss Colorado, who has been crowned @MissAmerica 2024! Marsh is the first active duty military member to win the title,” the message read. was written. “#Aim high.”

Marsh replaces Grace Stanke of Wisconsin, who was crowned Miss America 2023. Stanke crowned Marsh on Sunday.

The 2024 Miss America pageant featured 51 contestants representing the United States and the District of Columbia. The 11 semi-finalists competed in four rounds, including a fitness runway walk, a “hot topic” discussion, an evening dress presentation, and a talent show.
