He has worked with Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike McDonald, Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Steve Wilks, Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, and Ravens assistant head of defense. He will be competing for the job with coach/defensive line coach Anthony Weaver and others.

Belichick has also missed the postseason in three of the past four seasons. With Brady leaving before the 2020 season, Belichick led the Patriots to second place in the playoffs behind Mac Jones in 2021. But the team regressed in 2022 and 2023.
New England was 4-13 in 2023.
Legendary former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski even predicted on Sunday that Belichick would be heading to A-Town.
