Former Fox News host Bill O'Reilly said Monday on NewsNation's Iowa caucus coverage that Republican presidential candidate Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) is “the worst campaigner since Herbert Hoover.” Stated.
O'Reilly said, “There was no doubt in my mind that Mr. Trump was going to win over the MAGA people in Iowa. I mean, his status and you, on top of that, threw a shot. Add in the fact that Ron DeSantis is probably the worst athlete since Herbert Hoover. I had him on the same level as Herb.”
He continued, “He's a terrible campaigner. Just terrible. He's formal, doesn't seem to care about people, and can't get his message across unless he repeats his own words 15 times.” . He's bored. And in this day and age, you can't be bored, and he's bored. So he's done. He can go to South Carolina, he can go to Guam, he can go there. He can go anywhere he wants. He can't beat Trump.”
He added, “You can take on a monster like Donald Trump with a personality like Ron DeSantis, but it's impossible.'' We are organizing a “coalition of the willing.'' The good news is that people don't want Trump in the Republican Party, 30% of them. ”
