Jim Harbaugh interviews with Falcons as NFL rumors swirl

The Falcons have been conducting due diligence in their search for a head coach, which resulted in them interviewing several high-profile names.

Atlanta interviewed Bill Belichick for the open position on Monday, followed by a similar interview with Jim Harbaugh on Tuesday. the team announced.

Harbaugh, 60, is completing interviews for the Chargers' vacant head coaching position.

He took over the University of Michigan this year and had an undefeated season, leading the Wolverines to the College Football Playoff national title.

However, this monumental victory was not without scandal, as Harbaugh was suspended by the Big Ten for the final three games of the regular season after being caught stealing a sign.

Connor Stallions, a former Michigan state official who is believed to be the mastermind behind the plot, resigned in November.

In nine seasons in Ann Arbor, Harbaugh has an 89-25 record. He previously coached the 49ers and led them to a Super Bowl appearance.

He hasn't really delved into rumors about a possible return to the NFL.

“I just want to enjoy this. I hope you give me that. Can a guy even do that?” Harbaugh said after the national championship game. “Do we always have to think, 'What's next, what's the future?'”
