WFAN Program Director Spike Eskin has left the station to return to his hometown of Philadelphia and co-host All Sports WIP's Afternoon Drive Time.
Eskin oversaw a transition period at FAN after taking over from station icon Mark Chernoff.
While Chernoff was with FAN for 30 years, Eskin was there for two and a half years, but it was an eventful run.
Eskin worked with Audacy New York President Chris Oliviero to reinvent FAN several times during his short tenure.
The current lineup includes Evan Roberts and Tiki Barber, with afternoon sidekick Sean Morash added, and the daytime team of Brandon Tierney and Sal Licata under Eskin's short watch.
Eskin co-hosts the popular 76ers podcast “Ricky Sanchez's Rights” and has deep roots in Philadelphia, as his father is longtime radio host Howard Eskin.
The transformation Eskin seeks is one that his father has been stifling for decades.
Eskin will remain at WFAN until a current successor is found. He joins WIP after Reese's co-host John Marks leaves the show.
Eskin, then WIP's program director, originally hired Marks for the job as part of an effort to persuade him to stay.
The Philadelphia show will also feature Jacques Fritz, who, like Morash, will have a producer role.
