Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich Claims ‘Woke Ain’t Bad’

Gregg Popovich of the San Antonio Spurs, one of the NBA's most extreme left-wing coaches, went on a tirade against Republicans on Martin Luther King Jr. Day before the Spurs played Atlanta, calling him a “woke man.” I admired him for a moment. Hawks.

A vocal supporter of every far-left asshole you can name, Popovich rants about a non-existent “book ban” that liberals are accusing Republicans of being involved in, and says his job is basketball. The coach, who insisted that he not only plays the role of “history'' to young players; fox news report.

“In our situation these days and for many years, we are getting more satisfaction from our work in San Antonio,” Popovich gushed. “And I think over time, that's gone away across the league. By making sure we have time with our players to give us history lessons about people, events, things that have happened, I think that's something that will be missed by great players.” It's because I think it's come true.'' “

The white coach then cited the experience of a “black friend.”

“I mean, even the black friends I know say, 'I didn't even know about this until I was 32.' Well, none of us, black or white, have a long history. So it's not surprising.”

Mr. Popovich then launched into a mythical “book ban” that he imagines Republicans support.

“But we have to fight this culture, with the rise of a no-book culture. If we don't fight it, if we don't give out information, if we don't teach about basketball off the court, then that's it. Because it's over.'' It doesn't make much sense. But off the court, it's important that there's a void there, and at this point it's an intentional void. ”

There are no bans on books in the United States. A school's refusal to keep inappropriately sexual content or gay pornography in an elementary school library is not quite the same as a “book ban.” Books that groom young children for homosexual sexual encounters are still available at online retailers and bookstores, even in areas where the same books have been removed from children's libraries.

And Popovich objected to people using the word “woke” as an insult.

“So we can't let this become the norm. When it becomes the norm, we have real problems,” the coach exclaimed. “And I think in many ways the goal is to change the status quo for so-called “woke people.'' Waking up isn't bad. Being awake means being alive. It means you're paying attention. Now, some people can go too far in certain ways. But in general, the word woke should be a positive word. ”

Popovich's heartbreaking plea to normalize extreme leftism paid off, with the Spurs losing 109-99 to the Hawks. And while the Spurs may be well-disciplined when it comes to “awakening,” they don't seem all that skilled when it comes to basketball. This season, they have lost a whopping 32 games and won just seven. The Spurs are currently one of the worst teams in the NBA, with only the Detroit Pistons losing more.
