This is insane, but not really shocking.
As everyone knows, the game between the Miami Dolphins and the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Wild Card Round was an ice-cold game. Well, there were some interesting developments from the Ice Bowl, including the fact that 15 fans were hospitalized with frostbite and hypothermia while watching the game at Arrowhead Stadium.
A spokesperson for the Kansas City Fire Department said they responded to 69 calls related to hypothermia in Arrowhead. Fox 4 KC. (Related: Official: Dallas Cowboys have decided to retain head coach Mike McCarthy for the 2024 season)
Fifteen of them were sent to hospital for treatment, seven with hypothermia and three with frostbite.
If you look at the history of the NFL, it's easy to understand why. This game was the fourth coldest game in history, and the coldest ever at Arrowhead Stadium.
The temperature at kickoff was around -4 degrees Fahrenheit, but the wind chill brought the temperature down to -30 degrees.

Some people are saying, “See?!” New York was right! This is why you should not play in cold, snowy weather. It is dangerous! It is dangerous!
Damn, this is exactly what I want to see at a soccer game, with weather so cold that everyone's got ice on their mustaches (including the ladies there, don't lie)…

Icy! It's so icy! …Sounds like fun, think of a visit to the hospital like a trip to the zoo.
