Texas Longhorns men's basketball coach Rodney Terry yelled at UCF Knights players in the handshake line Wednesday night for making the “horns down” gesture after a win.

UCF came back from a 15-point deficit to win 77-71. Broadcast cameras followed the players as they shook hands with Terry after the whistle. Afterward, Terry was furious at the Knights players' gesture.

“That's not class. Don't do that—” Terry was heard telling the Knights players.

Terry explained in his post-match press conference that he is a “strong believer” in winning the right way.

“We don't go through the handshake line or have six or seven people honk their horns before we get to the handshake line. We don't do that,” he said, via the New York Post. Ta.

“When you do something like that, it looks very classless and it looks like you just want to win. We never go into a game wanting to win. .I go into the game expecting to win, so I don't act like that.''That's it. We expect to win. We don't jump up and down and act like we won a national championship. We don't step into anyone's home court contract or do anything crazy or try to make it look like they're going to show up one way or another. We're not. We don't do that. ”

It probably didn't help matters either that the Knights finished the game on a 24-9 run.

UCF's Jaylin Sellers had 24 points and Shemari Allen added 17 points, 15 of which came in the second half. The Knights improved to 11-5 on the season and 2-2 in the Big 12 Conference.
