Lamar Jackson raced through the end zone after leading the Baltimore Ravens to a 34-10 victory over the Houston Texans in the divisional playoffs and kept going straight into Saturday's AFC Championship Game.
The All-Pro quarterback completed 16-of-22 passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns and also had 11 carries for 100 yards and two touchdowns in the first four games of the NFL playoffs. That's the same number of touchdowns.
Jackson, the favorite to win his second NFL MVP award, has gained at least 100 rushing yards in three postseason games, the most by a quarterback in history.
Jackson was the first quarterback to rush for 100 yards in a playoff game and had 136 yards and a touchdown in 2021, leading the Ravens to a 20-13 wild-card victory over the Tennessee Titans.
Jackson became the first player in NFL history to have two passing touchdowns, two rushing touchdowns, 100 rushing yards, and a 100 QB rating in the same game in both the regular season and postseason.
Jackson has previously stated that it's now or never to get a ring.
“I'm getting older. Now I have to win a championship.” Jackson told The Athletic. last week. “That's one of the reasons I'm so stressed about the need to win. I'm not getting any younger. Winning is the best thing to do right now.”
His success attracted the attention of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, who commented on Jackson's success via X.
“I love Lamar Jackson!!!!!!” James wrote.
This is the ninth time the Ravens have scored 30 or more points this season.
Baltimore will host either the Kansas City Chiefs or the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, January 28th in the AFC Championship Game.
This is the first time in Ravens history that the AFC title will be decided at M&T Bank Stadium.
