Following the uproar over a Russian rapper's scandalous naked party, authorities threatened to punish him with serving on the front lines in Ukraine.
Instagram influencer Anastasia Ivreva, 32, hosted an “almost naked” party at Moscow's Mutavor nightclub on December 20, 2023, where she met rapper Nikolai Vasiliev, known as Vasio. Vasiliev was sentenced to 15 days in prison and fined 200,000 rubles ($2,258) for promoting “non-traditional sexual relations” at the party, the Telegraph reported.
Vasiliev was immediately ordered to report to a recruitment center in Moscow, but failed to do so after receiving an additional 10-day prison sentence for petty hooliganism and assaulting police officers.

The Russian tabloid Moskovsky Komsomolets claimed that Vasiliev was suffering from an unspecified medical condition that could exempt him from military service and prevent him from reaching the front lines in Ukraine.
The party provoked an unusually strong and swift backlash from Moscow's establishment, including state media and Orthodox groups. The news dominated headlines in Russia for several days and appears to have helped displace news of inflation and rising food prices, according to Reuters.

The host, Ivreva, may also receive a prison sentence as the Russian authorities suddenly decided to investigate her taxes. Dozens of people have joined a class action lawsuit demanding that Ivreva pay more than $10 million to pro-war charities.
