It's safe to say the Duke Blue Devils' student section was anything but cheerful after Pittsburgh's historic win on Saturday, and Panthers star Blake Hinson's celebratory mood was It was not welcomed among the matches that were talked about on the internet.
On Saturday night, No. 7 Duke lost to Pitt 80-76 at Cameron Stadium, giving the Panthers their first win in Durham since 1979.
Hinson couldn't help but rub salt into the wound.
The senior forward jumped on top of the scorer's table after the game and began celebrating in front of devastated fans inside Cameron.
Fans greeted Hinson with a collective middle finger, which was caught on ACC Network's live camera and sparked a conversation among college basketball fans on social media.
“If I were Blake Hinson, I'd frame this.” An X user wrote.

After the game, Hinson was asked what came over him in that moment, and his first response was, “It wasn't disrespectful.”
“This is one of the hardest places to win in America,” he said after the game. According to George Michalowski of Pittsburgh Sports Now. “So it was just an example of you climbing Mount Everest and you just looked at it from the top and said I did it. It's nothing but respect. I don't mind being mad at you. . That's just your opinion. The way I see it, it's out of respect for them.”
Hinson led the game with 24 points, including a perfect 7-of-7 shooting from deep, and also added eight rebounds.
Prior to the game, the Panthers (11-7) were trailed by 12 1/2 points against the Blue Devils, who fell to 13-4 overall and 4-2 in ACC conference play.
