WATCH: Shaq O’Neal weighs-in Stephen A. Smith-Whitlock feud

Jason Whitlock is letting viewers know that he's not a big fan of Stephen A. Smith.

Most recently, Mr. Whitlock called Mr. Smith “Steven” for exaggerating aspects of his career in the ESPN host's memoir, “Straight Shooter: A Memoir of Second Chances and First Takes.” A. Myth.''

Smith clearly took that to heart and went on a nearly 40-minute rant, during which he fired a blatant shot at Whitlock.

The beef garnered so much attention that Shaquille O'Neal opined that he would not speak the way Smith did out of respect for his mother, who attends church.

“Jason Whitlock, I know he has something to say. As a fan, I'm just going to sit back and watch,” O'Neal said on “The Big Podcast with Shaq.” .

“Even though those two guys are serious, it's still a comedy to me,” O'Neal added.

O'Neal continued to laugh as he counted how many times Smith called Whitlock a “fat son of a bitch” during his rant.

“You just took a master's course from Shaquille O'Neal on how to be a public figure, how to be a likeable public figure, how to be a relatable public figure. It's about how you take your favorite public figure and mix it up with your own message and real thoughts,” Whitlock says with a laugh.

“Shaq very wisely didn't attack Stephen A. Smith, but basically said, 'I respect my mother and my parents too much to make myself look like Stephen A. Smith. I can't make fun of you,'” Whitlock continues.

“He was making a fool of himself, and Shaq very politely pointed that out,” he added.
