The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is currently investigating after a group of students projected a swastika onto a student dormitory and chanted “racist language,” according to university officials.
On Sunday, Jan. 21, at approximately 5:40 p.m., University of Wisconsin-Whitewater police reported four people chanting racial slurs outside a residence hall and a firearm in the street, according to a statement from University President Cory. They were reported to have been lighting things like this and displaying anti-Semitic symbols. King.
Police were quickly called to the scene, but the group had already left. The incident was confirmed by surveillance video.
“The group's actions last night were abhorrent and contrary to our core values. At the University of Whitewater, we strive to build a safe community where everyone feels a sense of belonging. We are a Warhawk We are proud of our family. We reject hatred in all its forms,'' King said.

School officials said the four people involved were not affiliated with the university and that their actions were “consistent with groups visiting other campuses.” (Witty)
King said the individuals' actions are consistent with groups visiting other campuses and have no connection to UW-Whitewater. Out of an abundance of caution, the university has increased police patrols on campus.
