Baby nicknamed ‘McFlurry’ after mom gives birth in McDonald’s parking lot in snowstorm

A Wisconsin mother nicknamed her newborn baby boy “McFlurry” after giving birth in a McDonald's parking lot during a snowstorm, according to FOX News Digital.

Analysia Beck of Muskego felt contractions in the middle of the night on Jan. 12, two weeks before her due date, and woke her husband to tell him to pack the car to go to the hospital.

“So I had him call the hospital, and the hospital naturally asked all these questions and asked what my plan was for the pain, and I [responded]”Epidural immediately,” the expectant mother told the outlet.

But little “McFlurry” (real name Micah Daniel Beck) couldn't wait until he arrived at the medical center.

Beck, who has two older children, knew she wouldn't make it in time.

“I thought, 'No, that's what's happening now.' I need to pull over,” she said.

The couple pulled into a nearby McDonald's parking lot, and Beck jumped into the trunk of the SUV and tried to push the car away.

“I was just lying until halfway through.” inside our trunk” I thought. “This is happening at McDonald's…I can't believe it,” Beck said of his situation.

The couple called 911, but by the time paramedics arrived at the Golden Arches parking lot, baby Misha was already wearing a crown. Meanwhile, snow began to fall, eventually totaling 15 inches in Muskego.

“As soon as I knew the paramedics were there, I pushed… [and] Within minutes, they almost ran in and grabbed the baby,” the mother of three told the outlet.

A combination of winter weather and a McDonald's parking lot inspired the nickname “McFlurry” for a newborn baby. Other options included Mickey D's, McBaby and Small Fries, Fox said.

The atypical birth was quite an experience for Beck, but so was it for the first responders who showed up in a snowstorm.

Brianna Baltutis, a first responder with the Hales Corners Fire Department, told the publication that she and her partner were expected to simply transport the mother to the hospital when dispatched, but not to attend the birth in the parking lot. He said he had not.

“We were thinking of getting there and getting her in the car and taking her to the hospital before we actually delivered the baby,” she said.

Baltutis, 20, said she was excited to be a part of Beck and the “McFlurry” story.

“To me, there are people who work in the fire department for over 30 years and never have a baby. I think that's very, very wonderful,” she said.

The young paramedic also said it was an amazing moment, as the work she is asked to do often doesn't have a happy ending, Fox reported.
