Former acting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Mark Morgan is supporting the impeachment effort against Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
In written testimony to the House Judiciary Committee obtained exclusively by Breitbart News, Morgan called Mayorkas the “chief architect” of President Joe Biden's “disastrous open border policy.” This policy has allowed millions of illegal immigrants into the United States over the past three years. .
“From day one, the Biden administration immediately began dismantling the network of tools, powers, and policies we had in place. “This was a deliberate effort to remove that security in a manner that would have the effect of overriding security,” Morgan wrote.
[Mayorkas] He undermined public confidence in our system of government because he refused to enforce the laws enacted by Congress and showed contempt for our judiciary. He intentionally violated mandatory testing, deportation, and detention requirements.openly and shamelessly boasted about how his policies prevent the illegal status of aliens from being used as grounds for deportation; instituted a mass parole operation contrary to the express intent of the law; and prohibited government agencies from using the umbrella of organizational priorities to meet their law enforcement obligations. Secretary Mayorkas continues to promote a massive disinformation campaign regarding the reality of human suffering and tragedy that will confront those who hear his call to upcoming action. As the number of illegal immigrants continues to grow, so too does the number of young women and children being sexually assaulted.; people forced into a life of human trafficking; And the people who died too. In the past 36 months, approximately 2,000 migrants have been found dead along the border by CBP. This does not include those who died at Darien Gap during the perilous journey to Mexico and the border. 400,000 unaccompanied minors have decided to be separated from their families, and many have experienced unimaginable acts of violence while traveling. But Mr. Mayorkas tells us he has developed a system that is “safe, orderly, and humane.” It is a lie designed to distort and cover up the horrific atrocities committed by the very immigrants his policies encouraged to put themselves at risk. Morgan said Mayorkas “ignored” the warnings of his fellow former Department of Homeland Security officials and that implementing such a large-scale catch-and-release network at the southern border was in fact illegal immigration. They wrote that they had “ignored” warnings from “career border security experts” that it would lead to a record increase in border control.
“Secretary Mayorkas is a clear liar who has repeatedly refused to enforce the law and has deliberately caused waves of death and suffering while endangering every aspect of our country's safety, health, and national security,” Morgan said. writing.
