Lions’ Jared Goff shuts down question about Skip Bayless

Jared Goff didn't want to hear that opinion.

During the performance on Tuesday Included in Detroit's “97.1 The Ticket”the Lions quarterback stopped one of the hosts mid-question when asked about Skip Bayless' recent social media post that ruled out the team's chances of winning against the 49ers in Sunday's NFC Championship Game. .

“Does what's on the bulletin board matter to you guys at all?” Goff was asked about “Karsch & Anderson.”

“It depends on what it is. What do you have?” Goff replied.

“Skip Bayless tweeted the following after the game…” host Doug Kirsch asked.

“No, I don't care what he says. You can stop now,” Goff said, interrupting the host. “You can just skip over everything those people are saying on daytime TV.”

Bayless is well known as a Cowboys fan, but he also played against the Lions, who defeated the Buccaneers 31-23 in the regional round on Sunday.

“Congratulations, Lions. You've earned the right to be blown away in San Francisco. But hey, what a great year.” Posted by Bayless on X.

Teams sometimes rally around members of the media who doubt them, but the opinion of an “uncontroversial” host doesn't seem to be of any use to the Lions.

Detroit has already defied the odds to make it this far, with many experts predicting they will lose to the Rams in the wild-card round earlier this month.

San Francisco is the seven-point favorite on FanDuel, making it the widest spread of the two conference championship games.

The Lions and 49ers last met in the 2021 season, and this game marked Goff and head coach Dan Campbell's first game with the franchise.

At the time, the 49ers were in first place in Detroit with a record of 41 wins and 33 losses.
