Fox's first appearance: Republican Tim Sheehy says his campaign is in the “strongest position” as he continues to raise millions of dollars in his campaign to unseat Democratic Sen. Jon Tester of Montana. .

Fox News Digital has learned that Sheehy's campaign raised $2.45 million in the fourth quarter of the fundraising cycle, including $450,000 in individual donations. The campaign also noted that it had nearly $1.3 million in cash on hand at the end of the quarter.

The former Navy SEAL, who is participating in a Senate race that could decide control of the chamber this fall, said his campaign will only accelerate as the race heats up.

“Thanks to all the America First conservatives who support my campaign, we are in the strongest position to ensure that Jon Tester retires in November,” Sheehy told Fox News Digital. I am the only candidate who can do that.”

In the third fundraising quarter, Sheehy raised $2.2 million in endowments and an additional $650,000 in individual donations and loans.

Current state of the race: The top five Senate seats held by Democrats in 2024 are most likely to flip.

The Senate candidate said the financial aid “shows that the people are willing to overthrow another career politician and send SEALs to Washington to restart the economy, defeat inflation, and secure our southern border.” “It shows,” he suggested.

“But our work is just beginning. Liberal coastal elites need Testers to pass their radical policies, making this the most expensive per vote vote in history.” It will be an election,” Sheehy added. “Together, we will retire career politician Jon Tester, take back the Senate, and save America.”

A memo sent to a select number of donors said Sheehy's military background resonated with voters during his campaign and helped the first-time candidate obtain voter IDs across the state. ing.

The campaign also said in a memo obtained by Fox News Digital that Sheehy could face a primary race against U.S. Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-Mont.), who is considering a run for the U.S. Senate seat. It also states that there is.

The donor's letter noted that Rosendale voted to oust former Rep. Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House in 2023.

Given that Democrats already hold a slight majority in the Senate, the campaign is expected to involve significant spending from both sides, with Sheehy telling Fox in October that the Senate campaign would spend $250 million. He said he expected it to be exceeded.

Tester's campaign told Fox News Digital that Tester has raised more than $5.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2023 for his reelection bid and received nearly 15,000 donations from Montanans.

“The strength of this campaign comes from the grassroots support of Montanans across the state, who are working to keep Jon Tester in the Senate,” Shelbi Dantic, campaign manager for Montana for Tester, said in a press release. “We continue to show that we are ready to fight.” Shared with Fox.

“As a third-generation soil farmer from Big Sandy, John understands the Montana way of life better than anyone and will always uphold our Montana values,” the campaign writes. “We are excited to start 2024 with the momentum to re-elect John and the incredible energy across the state.”
