Arizona Republican Party Chairman Jeff DeWitt is resigning after an audio tape of U.S. Senate candidate Kari Lake was released.
On the audio tape, DeWitt can be heard telling Lake not to enter this year's Senate race and instead focus on running for governor.
Glenn Beck is furious.
“Some of the people on my side are corrupt,” Glenn says.
Kali Lake originally reported the bribery allegations at CPAC last year, where she said someone in the Republican Party “back east” tried to bribe her to keep her from running for Senate.
In the audio, the Arizona Republican Party leader can be heard asking Kari if he has a number where he can buy her.
“You can take a break for a few years and then go right back to what you're doing,'' he tells Lake, to which Lake replies, “You can take a break for a few years and then go right back to what you're doing.'' 10 million, 20 million, 30 — no, no. 1 billion, no. This isn't a money issue. This is about our country. ”
“We're not going to let people who hate our country say, 'Don't run,'” Lake continued, adding, “We don't have time to stand still on this battlefield.”
Glenn responded, “It's unbelievable,” adding, “It's unbelievably slimy.”
