Josh Hart, Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges watches alma mater Villanova take on St. John’s

The day after the Knicks and Nets battled across the East River from Brooklyn, Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges were all at Madison Square Garden to watch their alma mater Villanova play St. John's.

All three played together for two seasons at the school, with Brunson and Bridges playing together for a third season in 2017-18.

Brunson and Bridges were seen sitting next to each other on the floor during Wednesday night's game at MSG, which the Johnnys ultimately won 70-50.

Hart also attended the game, sitting in a separate courtside section.

The sighting of the former Wildcat came a day after the Knicks defeated the Nets and turned Barclays Center into MSG Southeast.

Fans dressed in blue and orange took over the Brooklyn venue, and chants of “Let's Gonix” roared throughout the arena.

Bridges lamented the fact that the game effectively became a Knicks home game.

“When they ran out, you could hear them in the crowd and there was a lot of tension, like it was an away game,” Bridges said.

“Like everyone here, it's not fun when you feel like you're playing an away game at home,” Bridges added. “So it's for every person sitting here, every person alive.”

The comment was enough for Hart to reach out to Bridges on social media.

“Hi, @mikal_bridges is calling.” the heart wrote X quoted Bridges as posting an excerpt of his comments after the loss.

For one night, it looked like the Knicks-Nets rivalry was on hold, but the trio must have wanted to see the Wildcats leave MSG with a win on Wednesday.
