Chris Young charges dismissed days arrest at Nashville bar

Charges against country star Chris Young have been dropped just days after the 38-year-old was arrested following an incident at a Tennessee bar, the Nashville district attorney confirmed Friday evening.

His charges include assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at Nashville's Dawg House Saloon.

“Regarding the Chris Young Case – After reviewing all of the evidence in this case, the District Attorney’s Office has determined that these charges will be dismissed,” Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk said in a statement.

Young's attorney, Bill Ramsey, said in a statement to Fox News Digital: Young and I are pleased with the prosecutor's office's decision to exonerate him of all charges and wrongdoing. ”

The affidavit alleges Young and several friends then followed the agent to the Dawg House Saloon.

Deputies said when Young tried to leave the store, he allegedly put his arm out to block the exit and punched him.

ABC representatives pushed the musicians back to distance themselves and said other bar patrons were also involved.

According to the original affidavit, Mr. Young had to be physically restrained in handcuffs as his co-workers continued to be hostile to the situation. Young's eyes were bloodshot and watery, and his words were slurred. ”
