Fox News’ Jackie Heinrich on Monday challenged White House National Security Press Secretary John Kirby after three U.S. soldiers were killed in an attack by an Iranian-backed militia.
“It’s clear that ‘stop’ didn’t work,” she said.
“Don’t” means speech President Joe Biden warned Iran against escalating the war in a speech following the Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas.
“Once again, to any country, any organization, anyone who is thinking of taking advantage of this situation, my one word is: Don’t do it.” Please don’t do that. ”
The “don’ts” were accepted by the Israelites, who trusted them as a guarantee of safety. However, Iran appears to have been completely unfazed by Biden’s stance, and both Israelis and Americans are beginning to realize this fact.
Heinrich challenged Kirby, who went on the defensive in trying to argue that the United States was not displacing the Iranian regime, but was careful to repeat: “We don’t want war with Iran. We have no intention of escalating tensions.”
Kirby acknowledged that Iran was responsible for the deaths of U.S. soldiers, but added, “This idea that somehow we’ve walked past this cemetery and run away from the challenge that Iran poses is not supported by the fact that It’s not substantiated.”
