A major super PAC supporting President Biden’s re-election effort is poised to make the largest political ad buy in U.S. history on Tuesday.
The organization Future Forward has set aside $250 million nationwide, of which $140 million will go to television and another $110 million to digital and streaming platforms, according to the New York Times. reported. The huge spending is targeted at key battleground states, with ads running from August until Election Day.
Specifically, ads will run in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
The acquisition is a significant increase from Future Forward’s spending of just $151 million during Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign.

Although the content of the ad has not yet been decided, Mr. Biden and the Democratic Party appear to be working on the assumption that former President Trump will become the Republican candidate.

Future Forward’s 2023 ads focused on Biden’s anti-inflation law and Latino issues in Arizona, Nevada and Pennsylvania, according to Politico.

The news about the ad spending comes just as the Biden campaign leaked its 2024 strategy to the New York Times. Naturally, the plan calls for using social media as a primary tool and targeting President Trump above all else.

Mr. Biden’s chances of re-election remain uncertain, with Mr. Trump leading in many opinion polls in battleground states. Mr. Biden had been hit hard by his age, inflation, the ongoing border crisis and instability abroad.
