The 2024 F1 season is just weeks away and fans are looking forward to the sounds of their favorites from around the world.

McLaren gave fans a taste of anticipation on Tuesday by releasing both audio and video of the team firing up its 2024 F1 season challenger, the MCL38, for the first time at the team’s factory.
The team first shared an audio clip of the MCL38 coming to life, along with the tagline “Whatever It Takes,” which appears to be McLaren’s slogan for the 2024 season.
McLaren then shared a video clip of the moment, in which various team members, including CEO Zac Brown, were seen observing the moment.
Piers Singh, McLaren F1 Chief Operating OfficerShared this statement on the team’s website:
“I am pleased to say that we successfully fired the MCL38 for the first time. The first firing is an important milestone in vehicle manufacturing and we achieved it successfully and ahead of schedule. It’s an important moment and a testament to the quality of our teamwork and collaboration. It’s a proud moment for the whole team and the culmination of a lot of hard work from all of us.
“I would like to thank you all for your continued efforts and hard work. Encouragingly, we want to confirm that we are on track and that everything is in order. , we must remain fully focused on the track and continue to work together to maintain our momentum.”
McLaren has already announced its livery for the 2024 season, which not only features its trademark papaya orange, but also pays homage to its history with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri’s chrome numbers.
The team struggled at the beginning of the 2023 season, but bounced back and moved up the constructors’ standings, finishing in 4th place. Now McLaren fans are hoping what they heard on Tuesday is the start of an even better finish in 2024.
