Netflix’s Full Swing Season 2 drops premiere date, ‘unprecedented’ Ryder Cup featured

Season 2 of Netflix’s hit show Full Swing has an official release date. On Wednesday, ahead of his Pro-Am at AT&T Pebble Beach, the PGA Tour announced: Next broadcast schedule Available on Netflix from March 6th.

The cast of the series includes Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, Windham Clarke, Joel Dahmen, Matt Fitzpatrick, Alex Fitzpatrick, Tom Kim, Keegan Bradley, Zach Johnson, Justin – Includes Thomas, Luke Donald, and Justin Rose.

Chad Mumm, chief creative officer at Vox Media, spoke to the media about the new season ahead of the tournament.

“Honestly, the reception of Season 1 was beyond my imagination. It was a dream come true to be able to make this show,” said Mumm. “As you can probably imagine, the past year in professional golf has been as dramatic, if not more so, than what we saw in Season 1.”

Mum probably left your jaw on the floor when she detailed the amount of footage used in her latest film.

“Last year, I think we shot 750 hours of raw, camera-like footage, brought in another 3,000 hours of archive to tell the story, and ended up with a six-hour Netflix show,” he said. Ta. “This year he shot 900 hours, resulting in 10,000 hours worth of archives.”

The success of season 1 led to increased screen time.

Season 2 begins near the start of the PGA Tour season and will lead to a June announcement with Saudi PIF.

“It kind of threw the professional golf world into a really interesting moment of disruption, and we’ve been waiting for it,” Mumm said. “I think you’ll be shocked and excited to see how much we can show you what it was like inside that moment.”

The series follows Clark’s big wins on tour at the U.S. Open and Los Angeles Country Club. We also delve into Kim and Fitzapatrick’s journey. The season then concludes with the Ryder Cup in Rome for a two-part season finale.

“You’re going to see an inside look at the Ryder Cup that no one has ever seen before,” he said. “It’s an unprecedented level of access, but it’s also an unprecedented level of access to the entire team building process. This includes cameras that will provide live coverage of both the captain and the players as they receive their captain nominations. . So I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
