William, “Lilly” Whitworth, 19, was sentenced to six years in prison

A transgender teenager who admitted planning three school shootings and wrote a disturbing manifesto of violence has been sentenced to six years in prison.

The 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday that the defendant, William Whitworth, goes by the name “Lily” and was in the process of transitioning to female at the time of his arrest, according to an office spokesperson.

She was given 306 days to serve from the time of her arrest in March 2023.

Given Whitworth’s transgender status, it was not immediately clear whether she would be sent to a men’s or women’s facility.

During questioning, Whitworth admitted that Timberview School, the suspect’s middle school, was his “primary target” and that he planned to carry out a school shooting, according to the affidavit.

Her targets include Timberview Middle School, Prairie Hills Elementary School, and Pine Creek High School, which she attended from 2014 to 2016, all in Colorado Springs.
